Are there any other games mmorpg like runescape? Are there games that are multiplayer , without downloading. That saves your "character" like runescape ? All games like that that I've come across require downloading like runscape, dofus etc. Ashriel Posts: 52, Reputation: 8. May 22, , PM. It'd be rare to find one that doesn't require downloading. World of Warcraft is really fun, and it saves your character. Good luck!
Jun 1, , PM. Yea seriously, but they have a website called pawngame. Robber Posts: 1, Reputation: 1. For fans of Runescape looking for a similar sense of community and social aspects, The Elder Scrolls Online has one of the most active player-bases in the genre via BeStreamer , and you're constantly being encouraged to join guilds and quest with other players.
You won't find as many holiday events, and there aren't quite as many life skills to level up as in Runescape, but for a more cinematic, action-focused MMO, The Elder Scrolls Online's epic scale, intricate dungeons, and calculated boss fights never fail to delight. Look past the differences in genre and you'll see a lot of similarities between the two games. The experience system, for example, gradually rewards you for tasks like mining and woodcutting, and there's a distinctive sense of freedom and openness to the world reminiscent not just of Runescape, but of earlys MMOs in general.
Valheim is also incredibly polished for an Early Access game, so it's a great time to buy in before the inevitable price increase comes with the full launch. For a mostly free-to-play game, Neverwinter benefits from extraordinarily-substantive updates that come on a consistent basis, and never require payment for access.
It doesn't exist on a scale as large as heavyweights like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy 14, but fans of Runescape will feel right at home in Neverwinter's rich, complex fantasy world.
With full-loot PvP, a deep, player-driven economy with lucrative life skills, and distinctly Runescape-like visuals, Albion Online might be the most faithful modern homage to the MMORPGs of yesteryear still active today.
Fans of Runescape, or even Ultima Online and early Diablo, will remember the distinct sense of danger to leaving towns and exploring those worlds. In Albion Online, you're always aware of the same kinds of threats, whether it's monsters beyond your skill level or traps set by experienced gankers. For many MMO fans, myself included, it's that very sense of risk vs.
For Runescape fans looking to relive the glory days in a newer, more polished world, Albion Online is not to be missed. Despite being among the newer entries on this list having first released in , the free-to-play Black Desert Online has already garnered widespread acclaim and built an active player base. If what you love about Runescape definitely isn't the combat, Black Desert Online offers something new and refreshing that requires more than the right skills to defeat enemies.
Best of all, the game allows you to play as a guest so that you don't even have to create an account to try out this free online game. There's no download required.
This accessibility of Sherwood Dungeon is its strongest asset so there is never a short supply of new players joining the game which encourages game improvements. This also means you won't be alone as you adventure throughout the game.
Sherwood Dungeon - Official Site. I don't really agree with most of the list, besides maybe Drakensang, as there are similar components. No games in this list come even remotely close to anything like this I wish you idiots would do your research before posting up this nonsense This game has skills that go to level PKing system similar to runescape and tons of skills. Ive played almost all of these, Started with Runescape and then to adventure quest an so on. This is a great round up, i like sherwood dungeon, big techtorpedo fan of that game.
Nothing quite beats runescape when you first play it. Path of Exile is definitely one of the best aRPGs ever made. They even surpassed Blizzard in making the next ''Diablo". There is a game like Runescape on Steam It's alright, but has a lot of skills like RS and a similar interface and feel.
I've only played a few of these and none were very much Runescape. The one game I've played that is similar to Runescape is Mabinogi. It uses a similar skill-based system rather than classes. You can train combat skills and then go sheer sheep or play instruments. It even has separate skills for each attack type ex. The graphics aren't great, but if you like Runescape then it shouldn't matter. There are no other games like Runescape, No one seems to understand that graphic style and world styles have nothing to do with playing Runescape.
An mmo made in java is not a Runescape clone it's a java game. When players say they want a game like Runescape they mean a game with many skills and activities around a character not just picking a class, its being a hunter today and a lumberjack tomarrow.
No one will ever make a game like Runescape because it has already been made. Cool lens, this is a side of gaming I haven't really gotten into yet, but it looks awesome :. You don't have to be so mean about it.
