Conventions are a marathon, and you want to be victorious and not a wreck at the end of your weekend. Think about sensible shoes and comfortable clothes during the day. We already mentioned Layering but comfort is of the essence when surviving the convention. A three-to-four-day convention is all about endurance and fun. You need one for the others.
When moving around the GCCC, mind your back. Pack light for your activities of the day. Moreover, a smaller backpack or rolling suitcase will be easier for everyone in the aisles of the exhibit hall. Bring extra chargers, etc. Also, learn to chill! After several months of isolation, it might be more necessary than you expected. But even if you just sit down to chat with some friends, get some well-deserved rest between two events and hydrate never forget to hydrate! Layer up to always be at the temperature you want to be.
