Can you download expansion packs for sims 3

Once all of your packs are installed, locate the ones you want to play with, then check the checkbox next to the pack.

Hey, I downloaded The Sims 3 Supernatural and it had something interesting in it, a folder labeled fairlight, and inside was a file my computer picked up as a serious virus called a code hack. That computer now wont fully start up even after removing the virus.
